Annette is an experienced lawyer assisting clients in the resolution of commercial and civil disputes. Her experience extends to assisting clients in other common law countries.
Annette is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Some of the cases in which Annette acted over the years include:
– Lee v ATL (Australia) Pty Ltd [2023] NSWCA 327, representing the successful appellant.
– Mikkelsen v Li [2022] VSCA 126, representing the successful respondent.
– Xiong & Yoo [2019] FCCA 1650 (4 July 2019), representing the husband as a solicitor advocate and successfully resisted the mother’s application to travel with their child to a non-Hague Convention country.
– Suzhou Haishun Investment Management Co Ltd v Zhao & Ors [2019] VSC 110, successfully obtained summary judgment from the Supreme Court of Victoria to recognise a Chinese judgment in a contested application (a first-time in a defended application in Australia).
– Suzhou Haishun Investment Management Co Ltd v Zhao (No 2) [2018] VSC 176, successfully obtained freezing order pending final outcome of a claim seeking recognition of 3 judgments from the People’s Court of China.
